OKB Hope Foundation simply means Osei Kojo Boateng, the name of the founder who lost his grandma to a preventable disease because of a lack of access to primary healthcare.

How did the organisation come into being, and what was the motivation to trigger its inception?

Osei Kojo Boateng, the founder, lost his grandma due to a preventable disease because of a lack of access to primary healthcare. This inspired his desire to study public health at Cornell University and deliver healthcare via his mobile healthcare van initiative. The bigger motivation is to not lose someone because of a preventable disease, especially in rural and underserved communities with no access to healthcare

What are your main targets?

We have two key areas:

Rural and underserved communities. Reaching to more communities and serving them, training community agents to act as primary health care providers and equipping them with the necessary tools.
Senior high school and mid-youth: Our key purpose here is to raise mental healthcare awareness
